1.Who we are
Voltline is a product of Flex Mobility Limited ("Flex Mobility", "we", "us"), a company registered in Nigeria under RC 8266987, with its registered office at 5 Bujumbura Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, Nigeria.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply when you use the Voltline website, the Voltline mobile app, a Voltline RFID card or QR code, or any charger connected to the Voltline network (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or starting a charging session, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2.Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- We verify your account with a one-time code sent to your phone. Keep your phone and codes secure, and never share a code with anyone, including people who claim to work for us.
- You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- Each account is for one person. Fleet and business accounts are also governed by the fleet agreement you sign with us.
3.Using a charger
Check that your vehicle and cable are compatible with the charger, and follow the instructions on screen, on site and from your vehicle's manufacturer. Do not use a charger that looks damaged; report it in the app instead.
Chargers on the Voltline network are owned or operated by us, or by charge point operators and site hosts who use Voltline. Availability in the app is live when a charger is online, but it is not guaranteed: a charger can become unavailable between when you choose it and when you arrive. Rules set by the site owner, such as parking time, opening hours and access fees, also apply.
4.Prices and payment
The price at each charger is shown in the app before you start. It may include a price per kWh and per-minute, session or idle fees. Prices include VAT unless the app says otherwise.
Before a session starts, we may place a temporary hold on your payment method or reserve part of your wallet balance. When the session ends, we take only the final amount and release the rest.
Payments are processed by licensed payment providers. We never see or store your full card number or PIN. If a payment fails, we may try again, ask you to pay another way, and pause new sessions until the amount is paid.
5.Your wallet
Your wallet balance is prepaid credit for charging on Voltline. It is not a bank deposit, does not earn interest, and cannot be transferred to someone else. Top-ups by card, bank transfer or USSD show in your wallet once our payment provider confirms them.
You can ask us to refund your unused balance at any time. We will return it to the original payment method, or to a Nigerian bank account in your name, minus any amount you owe us.
6.When a session stops early
If a charger stops because of a fault, a power cut or a lost connection, you pay only for the energy delivered, as recorded by the charger's meter. If a charger was offline during your session, it may send us the session record later. We will bill that session once, when the record arrives.
7.Idle fees
Where a tariff includes an idle fee, it starts after the grace period shown in the app, once charging has finished and your vehicle is still plugged in. Where your notification settings allow, we will tell you before it starts.
8.RFID cards
Voltline RFID cards remain our property. Tell us immediately if your card is lost or stolen. You are responsible for sessions started with it until you do. We may deactivate a card that is being misused.
9.Operators and site hosts
Businesses that connect chargers to Voltline or use the operator console also agree to a separate Operator Agreement. If these Terms and that agreement conflict about business use, the Operator Agreement applies. Operators set the prices at their own chargers; we display and collect those prices on their behalf.
10.What you must not do
- Damage, tamper with or open any charger, cable or card.
- Interfere with how chargers communicate with Voltline.
- Use someone else's account or card without their permission.
- Dispute payments for sessions you received, or attempt any other fraud.
- Copy, reverse engineer or scrape the app or website.
- Use the Services for anything unlawful.
11.Our responsibility to you
We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. As far as Nigerian law allows, we are not responsible for:
- indirect or consequential losses;
- losses caused by your vehicle, your cable or the site;
- events outside our reasonable control, such as grid outages or mobile network failures.
Our total liability to you for any claim about a session is limited to the amount you paid for that session. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these Terms affects any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 that cannot be excluded.
12.Suspending or closing an account
You can close your account at any time from the app or by contacting us; we will refund any remaining wallet balance as set out in section 5. We may suspend or close an account in three cases: if it breaches these Terms, if it has unpaid amounts, or if the law requires us to. We will tell you why, unless the law prevents us from doing so.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app, by SMS or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after that date, you accept the change.
14.Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, contact us first; we aim to reply within 5 business days. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or to the courts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
